Zipline Gombasek

The wider surroundings of Gombasek, located in the Slavec part of the village, boasts several other important caves and cultural monuments that attract visitors looking for relaxation throughout the year. The Zipline Gombasek ropeway project will bring to the area a missing element in this range of attractions, namely an adrenaline experience. This, together with the cura and the new historical exhibition "There Lies a Hidden Treasure", should subsequently be the main motivation for tourists to stay in Gombasek for a longer period of time after the completion of the accommodation facilities.

The longest zipline in the Košice Region.

A cableway with a length of approximately 500 metres connects the campsite with the area of the former monastery. Its starting station is located directly in the camping area on the observation tower. With this new attraction, visitors will be transported by air over the entire extensive grounds to the end station, which is located at the remains of the historic Pauline monastery. This is a sacral monument which, thanks to support from the Košice Region's Terra Incognita grant programme, became part of the Gombasek nature trail in 2017.

Since 2016, the Civic Association for the Development of Gombasek has been taking care of the development, improvement and revitalization of the new tourist area. In addition to the ropeway, the OZ also takes care of the ruins of the 14th-century Pauline monastery as well as the nearby bell tower, which also serves as a lookout point for the remains of the monastery. The complexity of the area of this new tourist attraction in the Gemer region is completed every year with new infrastructure and services.
