The most popular campsite in the Slovenský Raj and its wide surroundings. Podlesok campsite wins its regular and new visitors not just because of its convenient location. The availability of services around the campsite, the year-round maintained grounds, and a pleasant atmosphere every time you visit the campsite. This is what you want. The campsite is mostly a meeting place for visitors with the same or similar focus, which is hiking and cycling in the Slovenský Raj.
The generous campsite with a capacity of up to 600 sites is never empty, on the contrary. Even in the winter months it is possible to stay in one of the chalets in the Podlesok campsite. In the immediate vicinity of the campsite there are several restaurants, a tourist information centre, groceries, bicycle and ferrata equipment rental. and several other guesthouses and accommodation facilities.
Podlesok is the nearest centre for the starting routes of the Slovenský Raj. The most famous ones include: the Tiesňava Suchá Belá gorge, the Tiesňava Piecky gorge, the Tiesňava Veľký Sokol gorge, the Hornád gorge - West, the Kláštorská gorge to Kláštorisko, by the Slovenský Raj plains.
Other centres of the starting routes of the Slovenský Raj: Čingov, Košiarny briežok, Letanovský Mlyn, Kláštorisko, Píla, Mlynky, Dedinky, Stratená, and Dobšinská Ice Cave.
Our tip: There are also several nice cycling trails leading from the Podlesok campsite. We recommend going to watch Blajzloch. It is a small butterfly paradise by a pond with a fairy-tale island. You will for sure remember that place.
Tips and points of interest in the area: Suchá Belá, the Prielom Hornádu gorge, Blajzle, the Tomášovský Výhľad view, Letanovský Mlyn, Ferrata HZS Kyseľ, Roklina Piecky gorge, Korytový Vodopád waterfall, and Duhový Vodopád rainbow waterfall.
