Craftsmanship house in Krásnohorská Dlhá Lúka

Samples of traditional craftsmanship like basketry, weaving and baking of bread can be found at the Craftsmanship house in Krasnohorska Dlha Luka. This project is backed up by the Union of Gemer Craftsmen, which was established in 2002 and currently consists of over 40 members who are craftsmen from all over the Gemer region. Along with the already mentioned craftsmanship, an exhibition about making paper and pottery is also included in this craftsmanship house.

Presentations about the baking of freshly baked bread in a traditional outside oven also takes place here every July and August. The most significant event is the Gemer craftsmanship market attended by over 100 craftsmen and antiquarians. The main part is a presentation about traditional cuisine as well as a cooking competition. Other activities provided by this union include summer camps for little kids.
