Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Spišská Nová Ves
If you plan to visit Spiš, it would be a pity not to see it from the tower of the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Spišská Nová Ves which is the highest tower in Slovakia. By the way, in the neo-Gothic church tower there is also the highest bell tower with five bells and the tower itself is decorated by up to 7 clock faces driven by a single clock machine! The biggest masters of the period had affirmed their reputation here. In addition, you can admire precious art-historical monuments in the three nave parish church. The oldest is reliquary in the form of cross from Nicolaus Gallicus from Siena, that comes from the first half of the 14th century and it is 42 cm high.
