E-Bike Rental with Guided Services and Maintenance
Bike Around is a young and ambitious project launched at the turn of 2023/2024, aiming to attract cycling tourists looking for new experiences. We offer the opportunity to explore the Volovské Hills, Slovak Karst, and the Mine Trails bike park, which—just like our project—is based in Rožňava, in the heart of the Gemer region.
A new highlight in Mine Trails is the popular Flow Trail, built in cooperation with KSK, Feudall Racing Support, and Enjoy the Ride.
Our Offer

Rental is available for 4 or 8 hours or for multiple days upon agreement.

Full-suspension MTB e-bike
• 8 hours – €60 (Deposit: €150)

Included in the E-Bike Rental
• A bike in perfect technical condition with a fully charged battery

Guided E-Bike Trip
Experience Description
An eight-hour adventure with a local guide and trail builder, taking you to lesser-known spots around Rožňava. The route is flexible and depends on the preferences of the participants.

• Own SPD pedals (if you use them)
• Cycling gloves and glasses

Deposit for an e-bike is refunded when the bike is returned in the same condition.
Guided Cycling Routes
Northern Route – Majestic Volovec
• Difficulty: Moderate
• Skill level: Intermediate – Advanced
• Physical demand: Moderate – High (depending on weather)
• Distance: 25 km
• Duration: 8 hours
• Elevation gain: 1,000 m
The route passes through the village of Čučma and the forests of the Volovské Hills, leading to Volovec chalet for a break. Then, we ascend to Skalisko (1,293 m), offering breathtaking panoramic views. After a photo break, we return to Rožňava through scenic paths and a technical but manageable descent.
Eastern Route – Trail Park Mine Trails
• Difficulty: Moderate – Very difficult
• Skill level: Advanced – Expert
• Physical demand: Moderate – High (depending on experience and trail selection)
• Distance: 20 – 40 km
• Duration: 4 – 8 hours
• Elevation gain: 800 – 1,000 m
A fun and technical ride with a local trail builder at Mine Trails bike park on Rákoš Hill. Choose from various trails based on your skill level and endurance. The park offers 15 singletracks full of jumps, drops, and technical sections. The highlight is the new MINE FLOW TRAIL, coming this summer!
Southern Route – Magical Slovak Karst
Silická Plateau
• Difficulty: Easy – Moderate
• Skill level: Beginner – Intermediate
• Physical demand: Low – Moderate
• Distance: 48 km
• Duration: 6 – 8 hours
• Elevation gain: 850 m
A relaxing ride for recreational cyclists, offering stunning views of Slovak Karst. The route leads through Krásna Hôrka Castle, Drnava village, and climbs to Horný vrch and Soroška pass (option for lunch at a traditional koliba). We continue through Silická Plateau, enjoying the landscape before a scenic descent on the Čerkés singletrack to Jovice, then returning to Rožňava.
Plešivecká Plateau
• Difficulty: Moderate
• Skill level: Intermediate
• Physical demand: Moderate
• Distance: 40 km
• Duration: 6 – 8 hours
• Elevation gain: 950 m
An immersive ride through the Slovak Karst landscape! The route climbs from Kružná to the plateau, where we enjoy endless views. We visit Gerlašská Rock, “Ringing Abyss,” and Dubník, traversing the limestone plateau before finishing with a ridge descent into Rožňava for well-earned refreshments.
Western Route – Mysterious Turecká
• Difficulty: Moderate
• Skill level: Intermediate
• Physical demand: Moderate – High
• Distance: 28 km
• Duration: 8 hours
• Elevation gain: 1,200 m
The route follows the mining ridge of Turecká Massif, climbing along the P. J. Šafárik trail with a stop at Opička Rock. Along the way, we visit Elek and Dárius mining tunnels before ascending to the ridge and Vojtech Róth Memorial. We continue along the ridge to Turecká Peak (953 m), where we enjoy breathtaking views. The descent follows a mining educational trail above Rudná village, with a visit to additional tunnels, before a relaxing ride back to Rožňava for well-deserved refreshments.
