Angel statue in Háj

On the edge of a small cemetery situated on a hill above the village of Háj, there stands a monumental sculpture of a shot angel with a wing torn-off. This is a prop that has been left here after filming the famous Hollywood blockbuster Behind the Enemy Lines (2001). The statue appeared in the thrilling final scene featuring Owen Wilson. Nowadays it is a popular tourist attraction, which is easily accessible. You may see it from a distance and the directional arrows in the village indicate the way to it. In addition, several hiking trails pass through Háj and you should not miss the statue if you follow the yellow trail from the Turňa Castle to the Waterfalls of Háj.
