Atraktívna turistická destinácia sa môže pýšiť viacerými historickými pamiatkami zapísanými do svetového dedičstva UNESCO a zároveň ponúka neopakovateľnú a svojráznu prírodnú scenériu. Pre každého obdivovateľa pamiatok a histórie je destináciou, ktorá sa neobchádza.

Centrom destinácie a vstupnou bránou do Slovenského raja je mesto SPIŠSKÁ NOVÁ VES, charakteristická najdlhším šošovkovitým námestím v strednej Európe. Blízke okolie v sebe ukrýva skutočné his­torické klenoty tohto územia. Ide o Markušovce s renesančným kaštieľom a rokoko­vým pavilónom Dardanely, Žehru s ranogotickým kostolíkom a najväčší hradný komplex v strednej Európe – Spišský hrad. Oba na zozname svetového dedičstva UNESCO. Hlad a smäd v tejto destinácii tiež nie je možný. Veď kto by už odolal Spišským pirohom či penistému poráčskemu pivu.
